04 Oct Visit of the first secretary in the Embassy of Kazakhstan
On Monday, the 3rd of October, the 1st secretary in the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Doha, has visited DICID.
The DICID staff gave a presentation of the activities of the Center. From his his side, the first secretary gave a brief summary of a similar center in Kazakhstan, which is the World and Traditional Religions Center.
The Republic of Kazakhstan is a majority Muslim country, with 75% of Muslim , 20% of Christians and 5% for other religions.
Kazakhstan hosts every three year an international meeting, the “World and Traditional Religious Leaders Conference.” which was attended by DICID on 2015, represented by Dr Ibrahim Annaemi, the Chairman , representatives from Kazakhstan have also attended the 12th Doha Conference for interfaith Dialogue, held in Doha in 2016.
This Meeting initiated, on 2003 by the Kazakh’s President His Excellency Nazabeyef, has gathered on 2015 more than 300 participants from all over the world. The discussion, during the sessions are focused on topics related to ethical, religious and peace, and common values, shared by all religions and traditions.
