08 Dec DICID has Participated in the Doha International Book Fair 2016
The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue has participated in the Doha International Book Fair 2016.
The DICID pavilion has displayed of the most important versions of the center, as well as seminars and workshops, as an evidence of the role played by DICID locally, regionally and globally., it also included the Arabic and English versions of proceedings of the Center the Doha twelve international interfaith Conference, entitled “spiritual and intellectual security in the light of religious teachings”, in addition of selected Papers, from the same conference, in Arabic entitled “the spiritual and intellectual security in the light of the purposes of Islamic law,” authored by Dr. Ali Mohiuddin Qara Dagi, and the second in English dealt with the concept of jihad and its impact on the dialogue between religions, authored by Dr. Aref Abdullah.
The Center has also produced a thirty episodes radio program, came out in CD thirty episodes radio program, on the team of “Dialogue in Islam”, which was broadcasted over the radio Qatar, during Ramadan month, prepared by . Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahim, Researcher in the DICID, the program was held in the collaboration between the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, and Qatar Charity.
On the occasion of the participation in the Doha Book Fair, Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Doha International Center Management for interfaith dialogue, declared : this is not our first participation in that event , and we are happy to take part in this cultural gathering , and it is an opportunity to embodies the intercultural and interfaith dialogue values, through books exchange ideas and interact, to make the contribute to create a better world tends to peace rather than conflict.
Dr Ibrahim added: that the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, has been organizing various activities and events, which embodied its own mission and vision, to spread the dialogue culture and the acceptance of differences in making and acceptance difference dialogue, either among local communities, or regional and global level.
On the sidelines of the exhibition held at Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue has organized two seminars: the first entitled “the problematic of the Arab-Islamic advancement” presented by Dr. Yousef Mahmoud Asdeeky, Dean of Islamic Faculty in Qatar University, and member of DICID’s Board of Directors. The second entitled “mental image and its impact on religious dialogue”, presented by Mokhtar Khawaja, journalist and Researcher in comparative religions.
