20 Aug DICID condemns the Barcelona Terror Attack in Spain

“مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا”
(سورة المائدة: الآية 32)
“whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.”- Surat Almaida: 32
The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID) condemns the Barcelona terror attack on 17 August 2017, leaving dead and wounded innocent civilians.
The DICID strongly rejects all those criminal acts that clearly offend the principles and values of all religions that consider the protection of human life as its main objective, and strongly rejects all those criminal acts that clearly offend the principles and values of the Islamic religion.
Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue calls leaders and peace-loving people to reject all forms of manifestations of extremism and intolerance, making every effort possible to raise our voices for peace, by spreading the spirit of tolerance, mutual respect and solidarity among the followers of different religions. So the message of all religions is love, and that Islam is the religion of peace.
DICID expresses its heartfelt sympathies to families, peoples and all those affected by this cruel attack, and offer our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the individuals who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Barcelona.
