29 Apr DICID condemns the terrorist attacks on churches and hotels in Sri-Lanka
قال تعالى :
“مَن قَتَلَ نَفْساً بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعاً وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا
أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعاً “.( 32/5)
“Whoever kills a soul only for spirit or corruption [is] in the earth – it seems as though he killed humanity completely, and whoever saves – as if he had saved mankind fully.” – Surah Al-Maida: 32
The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue/DICID condemns Strongly condemns the horrific terrorist attack, having targeted churches and hotels in different places of Sri-Lankan, in 21st April 2019, leaving dead and wounded among worshippers and civilians.
The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue strongly rejects all those criminal acts that clearly offend the religious principles and values that consider the protection of human life as its main objective.
The DICID recalls the responsible authorities and religious leaders from all faiths to be unified against all forms of intolerance and hatred and call for love, tolerance and respect of worship places, religious freedom and human dignity.
The DICID expresses its full solidarity with the Sri-Lankan people in general and the Christian community in particular and offers its sincere condolences and sympathy to the victims’ families and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
