14 Mar DICID regrets the escalation of all wars and conflicts
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
“…whoever takes a life—unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land—it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.”
Quran 5:32
Once again, humanity cries out to the conscience of man… that we have had enough of wars and to let us live in peace.
Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue deeply regrets the escalation of wars and conflicts that afflict our world today, east and west. Whereby war takes innocent lives and leaves behind crises and disasters such as displacement, refuge, and unfortunate humanitarian and economic crises – the harm of which does not stop at the belligerents but extends to all of us.
The Center stresses that self-preservation and the sanctity of human life are among the most important principles of humanity, and one of the greatest values in all divine religions.
Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue will continue to call on countries that believe in peace to follow the approach of dialogue in resolving their differences.
Moreover, it also calls on religious leaders across the world, of all religions and sects, to stand united in calling for an end to wars in every part of the world, and declaring this as a clear humanitarian and religious stance.
We pray to God, the Almighty, that peace, security, and stability prevail throughout the world.
