05 Apr The DICID strongly condemns the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque
God, Almighty, says in the Holy Quran:
“Who does more wrong than those who prevent Allah’s Name from being mentioned in His places of worship and strive to destroy them? Such people have no right to enter these places except with fear. For them is disgrace in this world, and they will suffer a tremendous punishment in the Hereafter.” (Quran 2:114)
The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue expresses its strong condemnation of the crimes of the Israeli occupation by storming the Holy site of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, and the injury and arrest of hundreds of worshipers. The Center stresses its total rejection of the measures taken by the Israeli occupation army, which would restrict the freedom of Worship in Al-Aqsa Mosque; where all its doors were closed, and a military siege was imposed around it completely.
The Center stresses that this intrusion is a form of racist hateful practices hostile to people’s freedom and beliefs, and affirms its full solidarity with the Palestinian people and their just cause, especially the people of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, the first of the two Qiblas and the third of the Holy Mosques. The Center calls on all international organizations to move quickly to stop these violations against the Al- Quds Al-Sharif and the defenseless Palestinian people, and also calls for the need to stop Israeli practices that seek to Judaize Islamic sanctities and to stop the continuous aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque and to restore Palestinian owner rights.
The Center stresses that the Israeli cycle of violence, and the disregard for Palestinian rights guaranteed by all international laws, as well as human values, will inevitably lead us to a future of unknown consequences, filled with blood and destruction.
