The Ninth Doha Conference on Interfaith Dialogue opened in Doha with a call to the religious leaders to use the social media to promote dialogue and better understanding between different religious communities and develop a global code of conduct to prevent their misuse.

The ninth Doha Conference on Interfaith Dialogue to be held here next week will discuss how to make use of social media to promote inter-religious dialogue and the need for a global code of conduct on the use of social networking sites from a religious perspective.

Dr.Ibrahim Al-Naimi, the chairman of DICID received Mr. Andrew Bradley, the director of The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) from Sweden. Mr. Andrew Bradley was accompanied by Mrs. Rosinah Ismail-Clarke, the IDEA accounting and administrative officer, Dr.. James Lenahan, the IDEA’s Head of Communications and Knowledge Management and Mr. Zachary Alpern, the programme officer at IDEA.
