13 Oct Declaration Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue
The crimes of the Israeli occupation in Palestine, the continuation of the blind Israeli cycle of violence, Western support for occupation practices, repeated blatant attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, restrictions on religious freedom, all racist practices hostile to peoples, their freedom, and their faith, and disregard for Palestinian rights guaranteed by all international conventions and human rights have led us to this dark present of killing defenseless civilians, children, and innocent civilians.
All religions, human values, and international laws advocate for freedom, justice, and peace, as well as solidarity with the downtrodden in the face of oppression, and recognize natural human rights to live in independence, freedom, and dignity.
Religious scholars around the world must unite now more than ever to take and declare a clear humanitarian stance in the face of Israeli aggression and put an end to the brutal war launched against Gaza, which amounts to genocide by bombing civilians and depriving 2 million people of the basic necessities of life, by cutting off water, electricity and fuel and even preventing humanitarian aid from reaching them. The importance of truth and justice in the face of an Israeli occupation that has violated all international laws, religious and humanitarian standards and conventions for over 75 years.
